I also encourage you to rent the movie West Side Story i will not give you the satisfaction of figuring out the ending -moral of the story was if you don't pick a side you will just blow lonely unprotected in the wind.
There are approximately 50,000,000 of us Hispanic/Latino people in the U.S.A. We are proud, hardworking people, law abiding, honest people who pay taxes like everyone else and also peaceful non-violent intelligent beings who do our best. Our children are in Iraq & Afghanistan fighting alongside yours. Undeniably, who put their life on the line to serve our country. Unfortunately, the first person to die on the "War on Terrorism" was a Hispanic-American. Jose Antonio Gutierrez one of the first U.S. soldiers to die in Iraq. Jose Gutierrez, was an orphaned Guatemalan who at the time of his death was not even an American citizen. Jose Gutierrez was actually the second soldier to die fighting for the U.S. in "Operation Iraqi Freedom". Jose Angel Garibay's death followed shortly thereafter. Both men entered this country undocumented. So that ugly/ignorant people like conservatives can have their lovely free speech.
If I desire to hear horrible musings about illegal immigration I'd tune to Lou Dobbs on CNN, which keeps enticing that we are Aliens (e.g. ETs). May I add, that a small percentage of Latinos are not of European/African decent but are indigenous to the lower 48 states or Latin Americas, even the ones that aren't can only trace their roots 500 years (more then double the age of the united states) to the western hemisphere. The difference is Latinos/Hispanics that are here never crossed an ocean to immigrate to USA some of us belong to North America a small river, or gentle sea. Yes we did cross those.
Furthermore, "Mexican-American" and "Hispanic" are not interchangeable terms. Approximately 50% or so of the current US Hispanic population is of Mexican origin. The rest are Puerto Rican, Spanish, Cuban, South American, central American and from other Latino cultures from around the world. If they had an ounce of Intelligence and respect for others refer to these immigrants as Undocumented workers you Gringos. I'M sorry to upset the American scholars but Spanish speaking Society will NOT become Fatalistic in any way. Immigration revolutionizes the capitalist based economy which infuse new scientific and practical innovations for profit.
I posted this comment not only to Caucasians but anyone who may read it so they can find the truth, proof, evidence, and facts, regarding the illegal immigration situation this current issue suggest minutemen or 'Minuteklan Project' mostly armed Caucasians which are protected by the u.s. Constitution are patrolling the Mexican-American border with their claims of helping America fight terrorism but the evidence clearly shows the 9/11 terrorist traveled with their educational visas (recognizably documented) through the Canadian border down to Florida where the aviation air space regulations are more relaxed. Read the "9-11 Commission Final Report" Why aren't the media giving the Canadian-American border the same level of attention? certainly the Canadians don't refer to themselves as Latino/Hispanic Americans.
I'm not here to call anyone names or make any accusations, I am here to remind the sheeps, who apparently don't care, that the comments was disturbing, untrue, and objectionable to me personally. Particularly in the context it was delivered. That's all.
